To The Grave Launch Crowdfunding Campaign After Car Theft

When Sydney-bred melodic deathcore outfit To The Grave titled their recently released debut full-length Expect Resistance, they probably didn’t think they’d be giving themselves a warning of things to come.

But, here they stand, at the other side of a wildly successful tour in support of the LP, only to find that, after the run’s penultimate show, someone who actually has the audacity to call themselves a human being had made off with their tour vehicle.

They made it home to their last show at Kill All Your Friends Fest with more than a little elbow-grease and last-minute arrangements, but now that the dust has settled and police searches have come up empty, the boys are looking to find a more permanent fix, and they’re turning to crowdfunding to make it happen.

Setting up a campaign through Pozible, To The Grave are chasing a pretty meagre $1000, which should be pretty easily doable when you consider all the good that grand will end up doing.

“Not having a vehicle makes it very hard to play any shows and certainly holds us back from any further touring for the time being,” said member Matt Clarke in a statement. “We’re obviously gonna be throwing all our own money into getting back on the road, but after all the costs of the album and touring, we need a little help. So if you want to see us back in your town, please check out the campaign.”

Pledging to the band’s Pozible, aside from being its own reward, will also net you some pretty sweet thank-you gestures from the band, ranging from simple videos of gratitude all the way up to getting some singing tips from new vocalist Dane Evans, or having freedom of choice over the next cover the band puts together.

High-paying supporters even have a shot at getting the band to play a show at their house, or have them play personal chef for an evening as they cook up a meal for big spenders.

“We wanted to have some fun with these rewards, to get people interested and really help thank them for their help,” the band said.
