Some wild and wonderful music is going to be coming out of Sydney over the next couple of weeks.

If you're an open-minded appreciator of music and you're in or around the Sydney area then you are going to be thrilled to hear about the Time Machine event that happens from Wednesday 18 July through to Sunday 29.

The Step Back: Dance Party on Friday 27 July will feature Cliques, which is a duo featuring the talents of Henson from Seekae, Four Door, which is a collaboration featuring members of Holy Balm and Naked on the Vague, Tuff Sherm and Tyson Koh.

Electronic Embassy will be headlined by American maestro Keith Fullerton Whitman, with Aussie talent Solo Andata (in a rare live performance), Wrong Button Death Squad, Half High (also featuring members of Naked On The Vague) and Angel Eyes. This one happens on Friday 20 July.

Video Hits on the other hand sees artists deconstructing the music video medium, with Marcus Whale (from Collarbones) Oscar Slorach-Thorn (of oscar&martin fame), Marco Cher-Gibard, Jonathon Watts, Michael Salerno and Scott Morrison all having a go. You can catch this one on Saturday 28 July.

It all sounds a bit left-of-centre but it's bound to at least be very interesting if not amazing. There is an enormous program making up the rest of the festival as well with film, art, dance and debate also taking place. You can check out the full list of events (locations for these events) at the Time Machine website.
