Ticketmaster have released a new online miniseries that delves deep into the need for a swift return to live entertainment for Australia as soon as it safe to do so.
Radical Hope and Back To Live were launched on the company's Youtube today, and sees artists, entertainers, producers, and other industry members chatting about the slow crawl to normality, and how they've had to adjust to make things happen.
“This is a critical time for our industry," Ticketmaster Managing Director Gavin Taylor said of the project. "We wanted to put the spotlight on the incredible people working behind the scenes on the journey back to live, while shining a light on the huge benefits live entertainment brings to our society.”
Radical Hope sees the gargantuan efforts put forward by SummerSalt organiser John Zaccaria as he staged two major festivals this year. “The journey was wild," he says in the film, "but the main take away is that it was possible – thanks to the support of all the bands, managers, Ticketmaster…and I can’t forget my great team.
"I’m hopeful it can serve as a model as we all strive to bring shows back at scale in the right way.”
Meanwhile, Back To Live documents the broader issues that touring artists and their crew are facing, and how the road back may look going forward.
