Bringing some of the best and brightest names in indie-rock together, Closing Forever Sky is the next offering from Newcastle outfit Firekites. According to reviewer Amorina Fitzgerald-Hood, ‘this is an album to get lost in’ so make sure to grab a copy.

Kimbra The Golden Echo (Warner)
After gaining widespread acclaim two years ago through her collaboration with Gotye on Somebody That I Used To Know, this Grammy Award winning artist has returned with a second album called The Golden Echo. Kimbra is renowned for her unique style and reviewer Roshan Clerke thinks this new album is a ‘teasing listen that ultimately rewards over time’.

The Dirty Earth Autonomic (Foghorn/MGM)
Sydney-siders The Dirty Earth are bringing the rock to a whole new level with their latest offering Autonomic. This four-piece have shown just how versatile they can be with tracks ranging from stoner rock to head banging tunes. According to The Music’s Cameron Cooper, The Dirty Earth are ‘heavy, psychedelic and above all unpindownable’. This is definitely an album worth listening to for any rock enthusiast.
