Iconic '70s yacht rockers The Blue Jean Committee have announced the release of their newest EP, Catalina Breeze, today — a seven-track masterpiece which is due to be released on 20 November through Chicago-based indie label, Drag City.
Inspired by the works of such "laid back duos as Loggins & Messina, Seals & Crofts, Becker & Fagan and England Dan and John Ford Coley and well-versed in the 'Lido Shuffle,' to boot, the Blue Jean Committee were the proud products of the late '70s Northampton, Massachusetts music scene," claims a press release for the band.
The crooners are due to appear on IFC's Documentary Now series with Gentle & Soft: The Story Of The Blue Jean Committee and also showed off their beautiful manes and even more beautiful musical creations on Late Night With Seth Meyers last night, where they played title track Catalina Breeze, which you can watch below.
