The xxUK new wavers The xx have announced details of their new album, to be titled Coexist.
With September 7 locked in as the release date, the band posted a statement on their Facebook page: "After a long time on the road, we took a break, created our own studio and wrote these new songs that we're so looking forward to playing to you."
About touring the new set, they added, "We will be touring throughout the summer and beyond, and hope to play somewhere near you soon."
Coexist was produced by The xx's Jamie Smith and follows up their breakthrough debut xx from 2009. It was recorded in the band's own London studio between November last year and May.
The album will be released on Young Turks, via Remote Control in Australia.
