Philadelphia fuzz rock outfit The War On Drugs are returning to Australia later this year for the Falls and Southbound festivals.

Playing both Sydney and Melbourne, the band – the brainchild of Adam Granduciel – are currently working on their third record (after 2008's Wagonwheel Blues and 2011's Slave Ambient) so could get lucky and hear a snippet or two in these shows.

Tickets are on sale right now, from here, for the following shows:

Saturday 28 December – Northcote Social Club, Melbourne
Monday 6 January – Oxford Art Factory, Sydney
