The Irish legends are coming.
Iconic first wave outfit The Undertones have announced they will be heading to Australia this year for their first ever tour of the country.
The Irish punkers will play headline gigs in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth throughout July.
After forming in 1975, the band went on to churn out a number of chart hits including Teenage Kicks, My Perfect Cousin, Get Over You. You’ve Got My Number, Here Comes The Summer and Jimmy Jimmy, before disbanding in 1983.
The Undertones would later reunite in 1999 (new singer Paul McLoone joining original members — guitarist and chief-songwriter John O’Neil and brother Damien), to headline shows around Europe, including at Glastonbury Festival in 2005.
