The Snake Or Die '16 Local Supports Announced, Tickets Now On Sale

Tonight, The Snake Or Die '16 Tour officially goes on sale and Killyourstereo.com, as co-presenter for this tour, is proud to announce the opening local bands for each individual stop of this upcoming national run.

With the four main, distinct bands on the line-up - Stepson, Staunch, Eat Your Heart Out & Dregg - this tour is going to be a doozy! The nine-show tour kicks off at Adelaide's Enigma Bar on September 9th, and will wrap at Brisbane's Crowbar on September 18th.

As for the local supports for the tours respective stop-overs, you have Dead Ties (SA), Starrats (ACT), Incentives, Fear Of Flying Objects, The Motion Below (VIC), Meridian, Banter, Shut Out, Young Wolf (NSW), Kings At Heart & Endless (QLD). Noice.

Now, in a very cool bid to incentivize online ticket sales, the Failsafe Collective has a digital compilation for each of the tours shows on their Bandcamp Page. These "EP's" feature a song from the bands that are playing each individual show, and when you buy one of these compilations, you get your name on the doors for that specific show. And I for one think this is a great idea!

As while you may already love Stepson and Eat Your Heart Out, you may have never heard of Staunch or Dregg or some of the opening bands like Starrats & Incentives before. But now, through simply buying an online ticket for one of these shows, you can be exposed to potentially new bands before you see them live. Which means you can learn the words and maybe get a mic grab or two. Plus, through this method the bands can potentially reach a larger audience, which always helps.

I really do hope to see more of this methodology idea used in the future, for both local and international tours. Because just like putting Pokémon Go lures out at your live shows, this is 2016 marketing done right!
