The Smashing Pumpkins are streaming their new song, Lightning Strikes, via Rolling Stone. The Pumpkins mainman and visionar Billy Corgan said the song is "dedicated with affection to Mark Tulin...and all our great Japanese fans who are in our prayers."

The Pumpkins mainman and visionar Billy Corgan said the song is "dedicated with affection to Mark Tulin...and all our great Japanese fans who are in our prayers."


Tulin, the bassist and founding member of LA pyschadelic rock group Electric Prunes, died last month. He played with The Smashing Pumpkins, and appeared on the Teargarden By Kaleidyscope album that Lightning Strikes is taken from.


Lightning Strikes is the ninth free downloadable song release made as part of Teargarden By Kaleidyscope, a series of 44 songs released over a period of years.
