The Smashing Pumpkins Announce Sidewave Dates

Billy Corgan & Co have two headline dates lined up this February

More The Smashing Pumpkins The Smashing Pumpkins Profile

Celebrated '90s rockers and Soundwave Festival money printers The Smashing Pumpkins have announced a pair of headline shows, one each in Melbourne and Sydney, while they're in the country for the touring festival next month.

The veteran act — well, in theory, disregarding the mostly new line-up — will take to Melbourne's Festival Hall on Monday, 23 February (licensed and unlicensed areas available), and up to Sydney's Hordern Pavilion on Wednesday, 25 February, for a licensed all-ages affair.

Tickets for the Melbourne show will be available via Ticketmaster, while Sydney punters need to hit up Ticketek — passes go on sale from 9am AEDT next Wednesday, 21 January.

Corgan's current Smashing Pumpkins cabal consists of relatively long-time member Jeff Schroeder, ex-Rage Against The Machine drummer Brad Wilk, and The Killers bassist Mark Stoermer. Get to know them better here.

The band released new full-length Monuments To An Elegy last year; follow-up record Day For Night is due to drop this year.
