Celebrated, resurgent UK-bred electronic luminaries The Prodigy have announced that they will be complementing their Australian visit for the forthcoming Future Music Festival with an exclusive sideshow in Sydney, giving New South Welsh fans a dedicated performance ahead of the release of their forthcoming sixth LPThe Day Is My Enemy, this March.

Having freshly unleashed lead single Nasty and its accompanying video on the public already, the headline appearance at Luna Park's Big Top on Wednesday, 11 March comes just ahead of the album's release on 27 March, making the lucky attendees the first audience in the world to hear the new tracks performed live alongside fan favourites such as Voodoo PeopleBreatheFirestarter and Smack My Bitch Up.

"It's not dark, this record; it's got a violent energy about it," member Liam Howlett said in a statement. "It just doesn't stop, it's quite relentless, a very on-the-edge sound — but I would say it's classic Prodigy. It sounds … firing, like someone's poking you."

The Prodigy will perform at Future Music Festival this month and next alongside the likes of Drake, Avicii, Afrojack, the Hilltop Hoods and Die Antwoord. The first leg of the touring event kicks off at Randwick Racecourse on Saturday, 28 February.

Frontier Members will have access to a ticket pre-sale from 12 noon local time this Friday, 6 February, until noon on Monday, 9 February (or earlier, if the allocation is exhausted). Tickets will then open up for general sale from noon on Monday via Moshtix.
