The Presets, Stella Donnelly, Matt Corby & More Make Vanda & Young Songwriting Shortlist
Here is your top 40!
Some of Australia's most established and emerging talent have today been named on the 2019 Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition shortlist.
Acts confirmed in the top 40 include The Presets, Stella Donnelly, Matt Corby, Ruel, The Veronicas, Dean Lewis, Odette, Morgan Evans, Kaiit, Ngaiire and Wafia, who all stood out from 3,683 entries across 48 countries.
Participants go in the running to win a first-place cash prize of $50,000, courtesy of APRA AMCOS, Alberts and BMG.
Previous winners of the competition (named after iconic songwriters and founding members of The Easybeats, Harry Vanda and the late George Young), include Kimbra, Isabella Manfredi and 2018 winner, Amy Shark with her breakout song, Adore.
