They're heading back to our shores in October
Kiwi indie rockers The Phoenix Foundation hopped over the ditch for a short visit this April, but the six-piece have just announced they'll be back for more this October on an east coast tour.
The boys are finally releasing their sixth full-length, Give Up Your Dreams, today via Caroline Australia, having taken on all production duties themselves and recording the ten-track album in Wellington's Car Club HQ.
Co-frontman Samuel Scott explains that, "Give Up Your Dreams could sound like a defeat but it represents something quite defiant, joyous and celebratory … We turned all the cool and interesting sounds up loud so nothing was competing in the mix and you can actually hear the trippy shit."
The Music is proudly presenting the band's tour, where the outfit will head to Sydney's Oxford Art Factory on Wednesday, 21 October, Max Watt's in Melbourne on Thursday, 22 October and finally Brisbane's Wooly Mammoth on Friday, 23 October.
