Melbourne folk collective The Paper Kites have announced a May and June national tour.

The quintet, who released their debut album States last year, will visit each of the states and territories, plus a few regional areas, kicking off at The Cambridge in Newcastle in Thursday 29 May. The run will finish up in the band's home city at The Athenaeum on Friday 27 June.

After the release of States, which debuted at 17 on the ARIA Albums Chart, The Paper Kites embarked on a headline tour of Aus, followed by a run of shows across the US and Canada and opening for City And Colour on tour.
