By any objective measure, Melburnian rock duo The New Savages have had a smashing 2015, having played more than 60 shows this year — including a spot at the Bendigo Blues & Roots Festival and Marysville Jazz Festival — as well as putting out their debut EP, In My Time Of Dyin', to wide acclaim, selling out the release's first run soon after its July release.

The Victorian rockers aren't yet ready to kick off their shoes and call it a year, however, having newly unveiled a fresh 11-date run of shows around the country's south-east to herald the arrival of new single Smokestack Lightnin', which is taken from In My Time Of Dyin' and holds the distinction of being complemented by the band's first-ever music video, which you can check out below.

It's only fitting that the band should want to celebrate such an occasion, which they'll do from Wednesday 25 November when they get their Smokestack Lightnin' tour under way at Labour In Vain, Melbourne. From there, the pair will bring it to Beechworth (Tanswell's Commercial Hotel, 27 November), Canberra (The Old Canberra Inn, 28 November; Lerida Estate Winery, 29 November; The Phoenix, 30 November), Sydney (The Bearded Tit, 1 December; The Wanderer, 3 December), Newcastle (Hamilton Station Hotel, 2 December), Wagga Wagga (The Union Hotel, 4 December), Echuca (The Shamrock, 5 December) and, finally, Melbourne, where they wrap up at home at The Retreat Hotel on Thursday 10 December.
