It's the most wonderful time of year!
Well hot damn, BIGSOUND 2019 is finally upon us!
The Music team are on the ground in Brisbane soaking up the sunshine and working on our tans to bring you all the news, reviews and interviews from this year's conference, including a very special edition of The Green Room With Neil Griffiths podcast.
This year we'll be based out of TRYP on Constance Street so feel free to drop by and say hey to the team.
As usual, our September issue is dedicated to all things BIGSOUND. 2019 sees a bumper edition with our comprehensive guide to Brisbane's annual musical conference and festival including the acts to watch and panels to see. We speak with keynote speakers such as Fyre Festival's Andy King and Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino and the Punk Professor herself Vivien Goldman gifted us an extract from the excellent Revenge Of The She-Punks: A Feminist Music History from Poly Styrene To Pussy Riot.
We also go in depth on topics like music supervision and band economics, get tips from the industry folk who have been there before, plus delve into the major issues currently affecting the music industry with the acts themselves.
Mags are out on the street in Brisbane now so grab a copy while you can. If you'd prefer to stay online, check it out below.
