The Maes Announce Australian Headline Tour

“Sharing a few songs with a friend is how we make sense of the world."

More The Maes The Maes

Melbourne indie roots outfit The Maes will embark on an extensive Australian tour next year to celebrate the release of their latest single, Writer Of Love Songs.

The new cut sees sister duo Maggie and Elsie Rigby team up with John Flanagan, who provides backing vocals for the track, and they’ll tour around the country from January to May of next year in support, after performing at Woodford Folk Festival at the end of this year.

“Singing with John Flanagan makes everything feel okay,” Elsie.

“Sharing a few songs with a friend is how we make sense of the world. We wanted to translate this feeling into a story of a lonesome gig, a journey down a lonesome road and the sense of calm that exists by an open fire.”

The Maes are expected to release their third album in 2019.
