Celebrating their return from the US
Perth garage-punk-rockers The Love Junkies have survived their stateside escapades at SXSW, returning with a new single, an upcoming national tour and a binder of wild stories.
Their latest release, I Had A Party Once, is a bouncy, riff-fuelled taste of of their anticipated third LP — produced by Dave Parkin (Jedediah, Karnivool) and lead singer Mitch McDonald (Childsaint, Pat Chow). If, according to McDonald, "bad decisions under the influence always make for good song writing", this must be an album full of blind drunk regrets.
Catch them at Perth's Osborne Park on 13 May (with Figurehead, Uncle Jeffrey and Moth); Jack Rabbit Slims on 14 May (with FOAM and Rag N Bone); Bunbury's The Prince Of Wales on 19 May (with Filthy Apes); Brisbane's Black Bear Lodge on 26 May (with Walken and Deluso); Sydney's Brighton Up Bar on 27 May (with Maids and BadTooth); and Melbourne's The Workers Club on 28 May (with Skyways are Highways and Ohms).
