The event celebrates 40,000 years of Western Australian culture and history with an enormous theatrical spectacular.

Somebody was obviously thinking the bigger the better with festival opener, Home.

A collaborative enterprise from Director Nigel Jamieson and Associate Director, Noongar Elder and artist Dr Richard Walley as well as 14 clans of the Noongar nation, the event celebrates 40,000 years of Western Australian culture and history with an enormous theatrical spectacular. 500 performers will appear live on stage - set against a 60-metre backdrop as well as stunning animations projected across three-story houses - not to mention a 60-piece orchestra and a huge showing of WA talent with The Drones, The Triffids, Ernie Dingo and Tim Minchin only scratching the surface of the evening's offerings.
