'70s icons Steve Augeri and Robby Steinhardty will bust out a ream of fan-favourite hits at a string of shows this April

The Legendary Voices of Rock tour has been announced, coming to Australia with the revamping of music from Journey and Kansas.

In a two-hour trip back to the 1970s, the peak era for these two huge American acts, lead singer from Journey Steve Augeri will belt out the band’s greatest hits such as Any Way You Want It and Don’t Stop Believing, while Kansas’ co-lead singer Robby Steinhardt will be playing his iconic violin and performing Kansas hits such as Carry on Wayward Son and Dust In The Wind.

The tour is presented by champion Australian professional golfer Jan Stephenson, who has been extensively touring the pop- and prog-rock pairing throughout the United States, and the Australian tour marks an auspicious leg for the tour.

“I am so excited to bring these American treasures to Australia, the Legendary Voices Of Rock tour is going to be an incredible time for people of all ages,” Stephenson said in a statement.

The Legendary Voices Of Rock show will make 13 dates across the east coast in a couple of months, opening in Queensland on 8 April at Twin Towns, Tweed Heads, then heading to the Chandler Theatre, Brisbane the following night.

From there, the roadshow hits New South Wales on 10 April at Armidale’s Lazenby Hall, 12 April at Glasshouse Theatre, Port Macquarie, 13 April at Newcastle’s Civic Theatre, 15 April at the Ettalong RSL, Ettalong Beach, 16 April at the Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL, and 17 April at Panthers Leagues Club, Penrith, before they head to Victoria on 19 April for a show at the Melbourne Pavilion. Then, it's down to Tassie on 20 April at Wrest Point in Hobart, and back into the final leg at NSW on 22 April at Rooty Hill RSL, 23 April at The Concourse, Chatswood, then for their last hurrah 24 April at Souths Juniors Club, Sydney.
