Heading our way this October.

One of the world's most acclaimed award-winning composers and songwriters, Burt Bacharach, has announced he will be heading to Australia this October and November for a slew of national tour dates.

The 87-year-old US artist makes the trip Down Under following his 2008 tour in which he recorded his first live album, Burt Bacharach Live At The Sydney Opera House - the same year that he was honoured with his eighth Grammy (Lifetime Achievement Award) and proclaimed as music's "Greatest Living Composer" at the music ceremony.

Bacharach will return to Australia with his full live band and vocalists to kick off the tour in Adelaide on Saturday 24 October, before moving on to perform in Perth, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Gold Coast in the following weeks.

Tickets go on sale from 9am on Friday 31 July and fans are encouraged to get in early as previous tours have sold out very quickly.
