The celebrated Brit rockers touch down in January
Brighton-bred Brit rock outfit The Kooks have announced that they will be heading Down Under for a handful of national tour dates in January next year.
The tour includes a date in New Zealand — the sojourn's first performance, in Auckland, on January 15 — and from there hops the ditch (and the country) to commence the Australian run, for which they'll be supported by The Griswolds and Welsh contemporaries Catfish And The Bottlemen, with an 18+ appearance at Perth's Belvoir Theatre on January 17. The Down hitmakers will consequently stage all-ages shows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne before departing the antipodes.
The Kooks very recently released their fourth studio full-length, Listen, after a three-year gap between drinks, and these shows mark their first jaunt around the country since their inclusion in 2013's Groovin The Moo line-up.
Tickets for The Kooks' 2015 Australian tour go on sale at 9am next Friday, October 3.
