Swedish electronic music duo The Knife have revealed details of their first studio album in seven years.
The follow-up to 2006’s Silent Shout will be titled Shaking The Habitual and is expected to be released in autumn next year via Mute Records. Pitchfork reports the new album will feature guest vocals from Shannon Funchess of Light Asylum.
The Knife have also released a mysterious 43 second album trailer, which doesn’t really give all that much away (check it out below).
In the seven years since The Knife’s last album, the brother/sister duo of Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer have released an opera, Tomorrow, In A Year in 2010, while Karin released a solo album under the moniker Fever Ray in 2009.
