The album was recorded at the band's own Battle Born Studios in Winchester, Nevada, as well as Blackbird Studio in Nashville, Tennessee, with a number of producers including Steve Lillywhite, Damian Taylor, Brendan O'Brien, Stuart Price and Daniel Lanois.
The band will be returning to Australia in January next year, touring as a part of the Big Day Out 2013 festival with the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend, Sleigh Bells, OFF!, Against Me!, Every Time I Die and House Vs Hurricane.
