Amazon MGM Studios has announced the upcoming release of a feature-length documentary, Kids Are Growing Up, delving into the life and meteoric rise of Aussie sensation The Kid LAROI.

Directed by Grammy Award nominee Michael D. Ratner and produced by OBB Pictures, the film is set to give fans an intimate look into LAROI's journey from an unknown musician in Australia to a teenage global superstar, with a release date set for February 29 on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Kids Are Growing Up captures the essence of Charlton "The Kid LAROI" Howard's life, beginning from his humble beginnings to the highs of selling out his hometown arena within a mere three years.

The documentary is set against the backdrop of LAROI's entrance into adulthood, navigating the challenges of rapid fame, mental health struggles, first love, and the profound impact of losing his mentor, the late Juice WRLD.

The film's narrative unfolds before the massive success of Stay and continues as LAROI gears up for his first world tour and studio album. As LAROI confronts challenges beyond his years, viewers will witness his search for true happiness while handling major expectations from the public, his inner circle, and himself.

The documentary features exclusive interviews with the singer himself, providing a rare glimpse into the artist's personal and professional life. The flick will also feature LAROI’s peers from the music industry, including Justin Bieber, Post Malone, and more.

Speaking of the film that shares his story, LAROI said: “I can’t wait for audiences to see this behind-the-scenes portrayal of my journey, which perfectly encapsulates some of the most rewarding and challenging years of my life and career so far.”

Director and producer Michael D. Ratner added: “LAROI’s story is truly inspirational. While he’s just 20 years old, he’s managed to change his circumstances through his artistry and drive, while navigating anxiety, grief, and a variety of issues that his audience can relate to.”

“At OBB we strive to partner with the most talented people in the world and we’re so honoured that LAROI and his family trusted us to tell this incredible story. We also want to thank Amazon for being such great partners as we continue to collaborate on stories that are both entertaining and impactful.”

Kids Are Growing Up is the latest collaboration between OBB Pictures and Amazon MGM Studios, following the success of Justin Bieber: Our World, which received a Grammy Award nomination in 2023 for Best Music Film.
