The Kid LAROI has returned with a new teaser, I Can’t Go Back To The Way It Was (Intro), and the release date of his new single, Love Again, which will be out next Friday.
I Can’t Go Back To The Way It Was (Intro) finds the Aussie rapper regretting the past. In the chorus, he states, "I did things that I knew were wrong / But time just keeps moving on / And no matter which way I run / I can’t go back to the way it was".
As a teaser, the one-minute-37-second-song works - it offers the beginning of the follow-up to his 2020 mixtape F*ck Love, which was beloved around the world, topping charts in both Australia and the US. At the end of the video, he reveals the release date for the next single, Love Again (27 January). We predict that with the single, a release date for The First Time will arrive.
It's unclear at this stage if I Can’t Go Back To The Way It Was (Intro) will be an album opener or the interlude of another section within the record.
Last week, The Kid LAROI took to social media to announce his new album, The First Time, which included a 30-second video teaser.
In it, Laroi spoke softly over a bunch of artsy VHS recorded clips, outlining several ‘first times’ - “You never forget the first time… the first time you fall in love… the first time you get caught… the first time you feel shame… the first real kiss.”
In other news, Tom Henderson at Insider Gaming has reported that The Kid LAROI will be coming to Fortnite.
Following in the footsteps of other megastars such as Ariana Grande and Travis Scott, Laroi will host a concert inside the game.
Sources have revealed that the event will take place on either the 24th or 25th of January and that the music from the concert with be playable for a month after it finishes, suggesting that the show is probably not going to be held live.
Despite the confirmation of the collaboration, no further information has been released at this time.
The Kid LAROI's hits, Stay with Justin Bieber, Without You, and A Thousand Miles, remain strong on Australia's Hot 50 and NIMA charts.
