Travis Tritt is having a bad time.
When the internet decides it doesn’t like someone, said individual is usually in for a pretty bad time, which is exactly where US country singer Travis Tritt has found himself following a widely unpopular and hypocritical tweet he shared following Meryl Streep’s politically-charged Golden Globes speech.
Tritt took to Twitter to bestow some valuable “advice” to actors, musicians and entertainers:
Advice to all actors, musicians and entertainers: Please stick to your crafts that we all love you for and drop the political rhetoric.

Perhaps he forgot about this Tweet from a year earlier?

The internet sure didn’t, with many calling him out for the dig, including some Hollywood heavyweights and musicians.

@Travistritt then don't listen. But she has every right to say what she said.

@Travistritt Why is voicing her opinion ok (which I agree with) and TT voicing his opinion not ok with you all? Isn't it the same thing?
— Kurt Yaeger (@kurtyaeger) January 10, 2017
@Travistritt You also said "I'm not afraid to say what's on my mind. To take a stand, to draw the line." But not the rest of us? Which one?

.@Travistritt Travis, not speaking out when there's something to be said? That IS political rhetoric.

@JessicaHuseman Weird that @Travistritt hasn't replied to your evidence of his hypocrisy and dishonesty!
— Rob Tannenbaum (@tannenbaumr) January 10, 2017
@Travistritt What you call "whining" is what others call conviction, integrity and having morals, things many republicans used to believe in
