Beloved Swedish rock band The Hives will return to Australia this July, marking their first tour dates Down Under in ten years.
The Hives have locked in four headline dates across the country, hitting Metropolis Fremantle on Thursday, 17 July, Melbourne’s Forum on Saturday, 19 July, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Wednesday, 23 July, and Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Thursday, 24 July.
The tour follows the release of The Hives’ latest album, 2023’s The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons. The band’s sixth album and their first in eleven years, it followed 2012’s Lex Hives.
Known for their hits Hate To Say I Told You So, Walk, Idiot Walk, Tick Tick Boom, and Main Offender, the band are preparing to launch another collection of hits. Overnight, the band dropped the music video for the new single, Enough Is Enough, and announced their seventh creative opus, The Hives Forever Forever The Hives, which will be released on Friday, 29 August.

The band said of their new single, “Who in their right mind would start a song like this? No one but The Hives. They are here again sooner than you expected, and they have had enough of everyone at this point. Hence the title. Dig? Dig.”
