Aussue gems The Grates have been announced as the support act for US psych rockers The Flaming Lips' Melbourne show, 8 Jan at Palais Theatre.
Their bombastic, colourful tunes will be the perfect thing to warm up audiences before the Lips bring out their confetti cannons.
This will be The Flaming Lips' only solo headline Australian show ahead of appearances at Sydney Festival on 9 Jan and MONA FOMA on 15 Jan.
