Steven Drozd became a member of The Flaming Lips in 1991 (then as their drummer), but since 1999, he has been a multi-instrumentalist in the band.

The Flaming Lips are set to return to Australia for their first tour down under in five years in January and February 2025. This will be no ordinary tour; the group will play their seminal 2002 LP, Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots, in its entirety—as well as some cult classics.

When The Flaming Lips last toured in Australia in 2019, they embarked on another anniversary run, celebrating their 1999 classic, The Soft Bulletin. In 2019, the band released their 15th studio album, King’s Mouth, followed by 2020’s American Head.
