I'll Be Your Mirror Melbourne is just over a week away and The Drones, who curate the second day of the event, have selected a series of books and films to be recommended and shown (respectively) to those who attend.

The films the Melbourne band have selected include cult classics like Come And See, The Italian, Night Of The Hunter, There Will Be Blood, The King Of Comedy, Down By Law, and Theremin: An Electronic Odyssey. You can check out the details of the screenings here.

There are also a selection of books that the band have recommended to attendees, a mix of old classics and more recent favourites that includes A Confederacy Of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole, For Whom The Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway, The Sirens Of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut, Guignol's Band by Louis Ferdinand Celine, The Burial by Courtney Collins, Shots by Don Walker, Atomised by Michel Houellebecq, The Third Policeman by Flann O Brien and Straw Dogs by John Gray. You read read more about that here.

Speaking of books, two of the authors responsible for those titles will be doing readings and a Q&A session as well, with Courtney Collins and Don Walker both appearing at 4pm on Sunday.
