The DronesThe Drones’ upcoming Australian tour has been met with phenomenal demand, with the Australian band adding extra shows to their itinerary today.
Touring in August and September, the shows mark the band’s first headline tour across Australia in a decade, with setlists set to span songs from their seven albums.
New shows have been added in Hobart and Newcastle, and, following rapid sell-outs, a fourth and final show has been announced for Melbourne, as well as third shows in Sydney and Brisbane, and a second show in Perth. Meanwhile, shows in Castlemaine and Archies Creek have sold out.
Beginning the tour at Darwin Festival on Saturday, 8 August, performances continue with sold-out shows across the country. The newly announced shows take place on Saturday, 22 August (Melbourne); Wednesday, 26 August (Brisbane); Sunday, 6 September (Perth); Friday, 18 September (Newcastle); Saturday, 19 September (Sydney); and Friday, 25 September (Hobart).

Gareth Liddiard and Fiona Kitschin, taking a mini break from their other baby, Tropical Fuck Storm, return to the spotlight with The Drones.
In their initial almost two-decade existence, The Drones released six albums, with 2005’s Wait Long By The River And The Bodies Of Your Enemies Will Float By winning the inaugural Australian Music Prize.
