The ascendant alt-rockers are making waves in the wake of recent singles 'I Want Everything' and 'The More You Know'
Busy Brisbane outfit The Dollar Bill Murrays have barely paused for breath this year, already wooing us twice over with recent singles I Want Everything and follow-up shot The More You Know.
The boys are now set to further their success with the announcement of a new deal with Brissy-based boutique label Valley Heat Records, who specialise in short-run cassette tapes and 7" vinyl releases, and have announced a limited-edition "musical souvenir" release of the band's eagerly awaited second EP, Always On.
The special edition will see the EP be ushered out in a very limited batch of hand-numbered cassette tapes (in addition to the usual digital and streaming formats), making these puppies a must-grab item for any self-respecting collector of musical rarities.
The Dollar Bill Murrays are evidently stoked about their signing to Valley Heat, a respected indie label that already counts among its charges prog-rock luminaries Kodiak Empire, instrumental psych-garage octet The Francis Wolves, deep-soul funksters The New Buzz and gloom-pop prodigy Cloud Tangle.

“We started chatting to them a while back and it was cool to hear they weren’t the kind of label to be locked to a particular image or sound" the band said in a statement of the new partnership. "To us, they’re focused on championing Brisbane music and providing cool and interesting ways to release our music!"
Valley Heat founder John Russell echoed the band's excitement for lifting up a scene "awash with incredible talent across the musical spectrum".
"It's a true pleasure to work with bands who are pushing the envelope and doing something a bit different, and The Dollar Bill Murrays conclusively fit our ethos," he said.
"We're always looking out for special Brisbane acts, and The Dollar Bill Murrays’ have crafted something special with their fuzz-rocious upcoming EP — we can’t wait for fans to get their hands on the tape at the EP launch shows!"
Always On will be released on Thursday 4 May via Valley Heat Records.
The band will be launching the EP at a special show at The Zoo on Saturday 6 May, with an awesome support line-up featuring Mary Handsome, Black Sun, Age Champion and Junior Arcade, heading down to the Miami Shark Bar on the Gold Coast the following day.
