They're joined by The Belligerents and Wild Honey for the sojourn's duration
Stalwart Melburnian rockers are clearly determined to put the misfortune of a recent vehicle break-in and gear theft behind them, turning eyes forward to a run of tour dates with The Belligerents and Wild Honey early next year ahead of their plans to return to the studio to record their third full-length album.
Although the band have a scheduled performance at next Saturday's sold-out Festival Of The Sun, in Port Macquarie, the tour kicks off proper the following evening, Sunday 13 December, at Perth's Urban Orchard. From there, the trio of acts head to stages on the Sunshine (Friday 8 January) and Gold (Saturday 9 January) coasts, heading down to Victoria for a handful of shows in Torquay (Friday 15 January), Warrnambool (16 January) and Lorne (17 January) while there.
Then, it's across to Tasmania, where they're joined by The Violet Swells — the bands play Hobart on Friday 5 February and Launceston on 6 February — before putting a punctuation point on the whole shindig with a performance at Mount Penang Parklands' Mountain Sounds Festival on Saturday 20 February.
The Delta Riggs have been enjoying solid momentum ever since the release of their second LP Dipz Zebazios back in October last year, having since followed it up with the Dipz From The Zong mini-album for good measure. With their post-tour focus seemingly homed in on getting back into the studio, this could be the last chance we have to see the band out and about for a little while, so there's extra incentive to get out to one of their impending shows.
