The Classic Crime isn’t limited to scenes, trends or even genres. They hail from the rich music scene of Seattle, WA. After their debut album “Albatross,” (the largest first week sales for a new band in Tooth & Nail’s history) they released their sophomore album “The Silver Cord” in 2008. They have toured the US on Warped Tour (twice) and also alongside prestigious acts Owl City, Relient K, MxPx, Anberlin and Emery.
2011 The Classic Crime is going down under for the first time - touring Austrailia in April. Supporting their most recent and highly acclaimed release “Vagabonds”.
The Classic Crime released their third studio album Vagabonds in April 2010 with media stating it was the “perfect radio rock album,” and something to “get excited about.” This studio album was recorded in just three weeks time and pared down to the most basic elements mirroring The Classic Crime’s live sound. The band wants their fans see what they are concerned with and that they are trying to make the world a better place.
“Summing up the theme of this album, is it’s not about needing money or material things to be happy, it’s about playing music as this is what we were placed on earth to do,” frontman Matt MacDonald states.
Also joining them on the run will be Sydney up and comers Chemical Transport who are sure to also leave their mark on the Australian touring circuit.
