The Chainsmokers Relocate Sydney Gig After Fans Rush The Stage

“Literally everything is broken up here; completely dead.”

More The Chainsmokers The Chainsmokers

New York DJ duo The Chainsmokers were forced to stop a free gig at Sydney’s Jam Gallery last night after a number of fans flooded the stage.

Currently in Australia for a promo run, Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall played a surprise, intimate fan gig that quickly spiralled out of control when a large number of fans reportedly climbed onstage to dance around and hug the band, which resulted in the show being relocated to The World Bar in Kings Cross.

“Literally everything is broken up here; completely dead,” The Chainsmokers said as fans continued to pour onto the stage.

Despite the damage caused, the #Selfie and Roses hitmakers laughed it off before finishing their set at The World Bar without incident.

The Music has reached out to Jam Gallery for comment.
