English funk, dance, and electronic music pioneers The Brand New Heavies will return to Australia in 2025, but not for any old tour: the band is touring Australia to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their seminal album Brother Sister.
Released in 1994, Brother Sister was the turning point for The Brand New Heavies, charting at #4 in the UK, amassing over one million sales, and gaining critical acclaim off the back of hit singles Dream On Dreamer, Midnight At The Oasis, and Back To Love. In Australia, the album peaked at #20 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
Brother Sister was lead singer N'Dea Davenport’s last album with the band before leaving to pursue her solo career – which she put on hold for The Brand New Heavies – and returning to the group ten years later.
For the Australian tour, fans will witness original members Andrew Levy and Simon Bartholomew with vocalist Angela Ricci and a complete live band.
The Brother Sister 30 Tour begins at Brisbane’s Eatons Hill Hotel on Thursday, 13 February, followed by dates at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Friday, 14 February, Melbourne’s Hamer Hall on Saturday, 15 February, and Perth’s Astor Theatre on Monday, 17 February.
Pre-sale tickets will be available from 11 am local time on Monday, 4 November, with the general sale opening at 11 am local time on Wednesday, 6 November. You can find more ticketing information on the TEG Live and MJR Presents websites.

The band said of the upcoming tour, “We can’t believe that Brother Sister is going to be 30 years young! What better way to celebrate than coming to see us play the album in its entirety, as well as all our hits.”
