New Zealand rockers The Beths are returning to Australia in April 2026 for their largest tour Down Under to date.
Touring in support of their just-released new album, Straight Line Was A Lie, the band – comprising Elizabeth Stokes, Jonathan Pearce, Benjamin Sinclair, and Tristan Deck – will hit some of the country’s most beloved venues in 2026 after a sold-out tour of Australia earlier this year.
Starting the run at Adelaide’s The Gov on Friday, 17 April, the tour continues at Perth’s Astor Theatre on Saturday, 18 April, Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Thursday, 23 April, Sydney’s Roundhouse on Friday, 24 April, and concludes at Melbourne’s Forum on Saturday, 25 April.
Pre-sale tickets will be available at 9 am tomorrow – sign up here to access those tickets – ahead of the general sale on Friday, 5 September, at 9 am local time via the Handsome Tours website.
Across Straight Line Was A Lie’s ten tracks, singer-songwriter Elizabeth Stokes explores progress, mental health issues, and family ties with her signature lyrical style that’s both deeply personal and universally relatable.
The Beths are also your favourite band’s favourite band, having toured alongside Pixies, The Breeders, The Postal Service, and Death Cab for Cutie, as well as appeared at festivals including Coachella, Primavera Sound, Newport Folk Festival, and Bonnaroo, making them one of their generation’s most impressive and successful guitar bands.

At the 2023 Laneway Festival, The Music’s David James Young caught The Beths’ set, in which he declared: “Highlights from all three of their studio albums fly by in the 45-minute set, from the tender undercurrent swelling of Out Of Sight to the churning, explosive noise of Silence Is Golden. Pulling no punches and sparing no expense, The Beths are about as reliable a band as you could hope for.”
