Aussie rockers The Beasts have been firing on all cylinders since embarking on their national sold-out tour, Alive, earlier this year. That creativity and energy led the band to craft a new album and a live album just in time for Christmas.
Surviving Beasts Of Bourbon members Tex Perkins, James Baker, Kim Salmon, Boris Sujdovic, and Charlie Owen hit Union Street Studios in Melbourne over just two days to lay down tracks for their forthcoming studio album, Ultimo.
The new album will be released on Friday, 13 December, via Slick Productions/MGM Distribution. It contains nine new songs and, according to a press release, serves as the final chapter of The Beasts.
In addition to releasing a new LP, The Beasts will unleash a new limited edition vinyl live album, The Beasts Alive. Recorded over two nights at Sydney’s Factory Theatre and Melbourne’s Croxton Bandroom during the 40th-anniversary shows celebrating the Beasts Of Bourbon last year, the live album features 11 tracks of fan-favourites.
Ultimo and The Beasts Alive will be released digitally and as a double gatefold limited edition vinyl release—Ultimo will be pressed on red vinyl—on Friday, 13 December.
You can pre-save Ultimo here and pre-order the vinyl here. The tracklists for both albums are below.
