The Bank Hotel Is Throwing The Second Annual Newtown ChilliFest

It's getting hot in herre.

Newtown's The Bank Hotel is bringing the heat for the second year running with its annual ChilliFest next weekend.

Taking place on 10 June, last year's winner Rhys Psychling will defend his crown in the chilli eating competition, hosted by dream queen Tora Hymen, and attendees can also vote for their favourite chilli-inspired beers, with options from local brewers including Young Henrys, 4 Pines, Sauce Brewing and New England Brewing Co.

There's even a hot sauce market with spicy toppings from Handsome Devil Supply Co and Rhys Psychiling's Home Batch, as well as The Bank Hotel's very own creation, and music from jazz outfit Abel Cross Trio.
