We probably saw this coming...

More Amy Shark Amy Shark Profile

As the country shines its shoes and gears up towards the 2018 ARIA Awards, we've just had confirmation of the Australian artists set to perform at this year's ceremony.

The first cab off the rank also has the most number of nominations and is none other than Gold Coast singer-songwriter Amy Shark having picked up nine nods.

Following closely behind with eight nominations is indie icon Courtney Barnett and with five nominations, Dean Lewis, who are both also set to perform.

They will be joined by country legends Kasey Chambers and the 2018 host Keith Urban. Chambers will also be honoured at the event and inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame at this year's awards. The 42-year-old is the youngest female artist to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame and only the twelfth female artist.

The acts will join British superstar Rita Ora and Australian pop-rock band 5 Seconds Of Summer who have both already been confirmed.

The 2018 ARIA Awards are set to take place on Wednesday 28 November at The Star in Sydney.
