Melbourne ambient rock group The Ascension have split with their rhythm guitarist, making the following statement on Facebook:
Just a little update for everyone, We have parted ways with out guitarist Leigh Alexander for him to pursue other journeys in life and music, we wish him all the best! With this unexpectedly happening, Mitchell will be taking on the role of rhythm guitar and vocals. We are still completing the EP and are keen for any future endeavours that lay ahead. Enjoy the rest of your week end and stay rad!
The line-up change is unlikely to make a huge change to the band's sound, as Mitchell Barker writes the vast majority of the band's material.
