Sydney rockers, The Art (not to be confused with what Thy Art Is Murder are colloquially known as nowadays), have released a rocking new single, 'Minute To Madness'.

'Voodoo Storm' is the name of the band's upcoming record, and you guessed it, this is where the quartet's new single comes from! The album was recorded last year with producer/engineer Stevie Knight of Electric Sun Studios (the same guy who made Sierra's final EP sound so bloody good) so this new record is definitely in good hands.

The band's bassist/vocalist, Kara Jayne, said this about the creation of their new tune.

"I wrote Minute To Madness after reading a book called 'Heart Shaped Box' by Joe Hill. It's about the moment you know chaos is about to take over, and there's no going back... Which is in itself the most exciting moment... Good or bad."

Anyway, check out the...mad new single below (sorry, I couldn't help myself).

In other news from the hard rock group, the band recently threw their weight behind the recent campaign to help keep Australain community radio alive and well through federal funding, saying that:

"You're voice is always valid. I wish we all got our shit together when the concept of the lockout were just murmurs. This is an important win for our society foe so many reasons. Besides, from independent under grown/exciting music, Most mainstream bands and/or acts start of with the support of community stations before they hit the masses ears. And for the kid who was glued to their guitar for years, chipping away at crafting songs and music; there will be an opportunity for us to hear them in the future and be moved by their art, and watch them bloom over time. Thank you to everyone that signed and put their voice out there to help action this outcome"

Well said! And hey, if you want to help out yourself, then head on over to campaign's site and share, sign the petition, blah blah blah - you get the point. But who knows, you may find some pretty cool artists on there before they get big, and then you can forever look cool in front of you friends.
