The debut of Redfest is going to be huge

In what’s looking to be one of the biggest New Year’s Eve parties ever, Aussie metalcore heavyweights The Amity Affliction will headline the inaugural run of Perth’s Redfest alongside a slew of other heavy music talent.

There are so many reasons the picturesque Red Hill Auditorium is a suitable home for the new party (besides the festival’s name), with its isolation from the city yielding a memorable backdrop, and with Northlane, Deez Nuts and Hellions also make the trip West to round out 2016, things are going to get wild; that much we know from The Amity Affliction/Deez Nuts Drunk And Disorderly Tour years ago.

Acknowledging the talent in Perth itself, WA favourites Make Them Suffer will round out a big 2016 at the festival, after signing with Rise Records and touring the world with Parkway Drive, Architects, Whitechapel and more, and the revamped Saviour will get the party started.

The occasion will make one year since The Amity Affliction stopped by WA on The Big Ass Tour and will see them bring their highly anticipated fifth album, This Could Be Heartbreak (WA fans can now forgive them for missing the state on the I Bring The Weather With Me August run), while Northlane keep the ball rolling from their joint venture with In Hearts Wake earlier this year, Equinox.

Early bird tickets go on sale today at 12.00pm WA time via 24Hundred.net with general public passes live on Friday, July 22, at the same time through Oztix.

There’ll also be 150 Redfest VIP passes up for grabs, which will give a select group access to a special deck with a panoramic view of not only the event but city (which will make for a memorable countdown to say the least), a private bar and bathroom and more.
