The Amity AfflictionThe Amity Affliction could join an elite group who have made ARIA chart history should they take out #1 on the Albums list this week with their new LP, Misery.
According to midweek figures, the Queensland outfit's sixth studio record is the favourite to debut at top spot this week and, if successful, will be the band's fourth-straight #1 album following 2016's This Could Be Heartbreak, 2014's Let The Ocean Take Me and 2012's Chasing Ghosts which all peaked at #1.
The feat was last achieved by hip hop group Hilltop Hoods in 2014 with Walking Under Stars, while other bands who have also posted four-straight #1 albums include Silverchair and Powderfinger.
Also set to enter the top ten of the ARIA Albums chart this week is South Korean boy band BTS' Love Yourself and Alice In Chains' Rainier Fog.
Other debuts this week include John Williamson's Butcherbird, Neil & Liam Finn's Lightsleeper, Interpol's Marauder (all top 20), Beccy Cole's Lioness (top 30), Il Divo's Timeless (top 40) and Mojo Juju's Native Tongue (top 50).
Over on the Singles chart, Sydney artist Dean Lewis will look to make it three-straight weeks atop the chart with Be Alright, UK artist Jonas Blue's Rise is predicted to climb into the top 10.
The only debut on the list this week comes from BTS with Idol, which is expected to debut in the top 20.
