The experimental act will drop their first full release in May
Experimental three-piece The Acid have confirmed the release date of their forthcoming debut LP.
If you've yet to hear about this trio, let's give you a little background. The Acid have strong Aussie connections, with local born, now LA based muso Ry X one of the members, along with English producer and DJ Adam Freeland and American all-rounder Steve Nalepa. Ry X and Freeland originally met in Australia a number of years back, but it was an encounter last year in LA that began The Acid's journey.
Their sound is a hard one to narrow down to one genre - they mix lush and dark beats with vocals that range from subtle to engaging in an instant. It's alternative and one that we'll probably be hearing more of in the future.

The band are in the running to win the Spotify Emerge Program for Australia and New Zealand, alongside the likes of The Aston Shuffle, Chance Waters and Gang Of Youths.
You may also recall Ry X had some success in the UK with his solo EP Berlin late last year.
The album - titled Liminal - will be out on Friday 30 May via Infectious Music/Liberator, but in the meantime, the guys are offering a free download of one of the album's tracks, Creeper.
