The 2018 J Awards Nominations Are In...

Back for its 14th year.

The 2018 J Award nominations are in and let's just say, it's been a great year for Aussie music. 

Amy Shark and Courtney Barnett continue their domination of the 2018 award season, both picking up nominations for the triple j Australian Album Of The Year, along with Camp Cope, DMA'S, Hockey Dad, Middle Kids, Ocean Alley, Polaris, RÜFÜS DU SOL and Tash Sultana.


Gurrumul, John Butler Trio, Mojo Juju, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and Sampa The Great all pick up nominations for Double J's Artist Of The Year, while Angie McMahon, G Flip, Kian, Kwame and Slowly Slowly have all been nominated for the Unearthed Artist Of The Year award.


The Australian Music Video Of The Year nominees, which is co-presented by Rage, include B Wise for Feel Something (directed by JAEN Collective), DZ Deathrays for Like People (directed by Guss Mallman), Golden Vessel for Bigbright feat. Elkkie, E^st & Duckwrth (directed by Harry Deadman), Mojo Juju for Native Tongue (directed by Claudia Sangiorgi Dalimore) and Sampa The Great for Black Girl Magik feat. Nicole Gumbe (directed by Sanjay De Silva).

The J Awards are part of ABC's Ausmusic Month celebrations, which kick off today.
