Could that international tour be around the corner?

News has leaked that a Whitney Houston hologram will be gracing the stage of singing competition, The Voice US, following news last September that Whitney Houston would be the next late artist to grace stages as a hologram.

TMZ has reported that a leaked video shows pop star/The Voice US judge Christina Aguilera taking to the show's finale next week performing a duet with a hologram of Houston, though the leaked footage has since been removed.

Aguilera is apparently set to perform a slew of Houston's hits with her, including I Have Nothing and I'm Every Woman, in what was to be a surprise grand finale of The Voice.

If the Houston hologram appearance is indeed happening next week, could the world tour suggested last year be in town sooner than we think? If that's the case, it would be a much larger affair than when legendary artists Tupac and Michael Jackson were brought back to the microphone in 2012 and 2014 respectively — it would be the first time a hologram has head out on a full-fledged international tour.

When it was first reported that the head of Houston's estate, Pat Houston, and company Hologram USA were in talks, it was said that the tour was "a great opportunity for her fans to see a reinvention of one the most celebrated female artists in history and to continue a legacy of performances that will not be forgotten in years to come".

update:

TMZ are reporting that The Voice duet has been axed because Whitney Houston's estate aren't satisfied with the hologram.

Sources said the estate believes the finished product "didn't look like Whitney" and do not wish to move ahead until it is perfected.
