Warrandyte outfit The Teskey Brothers have released a cover of an INXS classic dedicated to the late Michael Gudinski.

The Australian music industry legend, who passed away last month, threw his support behind the band early on and features briefly in the band’s new music video for Never Tear Us Apart.

“This is an all-time classic Australian song that all of us love,” Josh Teskey said.

“It’s a pleasure to sing it and I don’t know why we didn’t do it earlier. We’re very proud to dedicate this release to our friend Michael Gudinski who was a huge supporter of Australian music and The Teskey Brothers. Our two worlds collided and we will always be grateful for that.”

The release arrives alongside a headline show announcement, with the band scheduled to perform at The Forum in Melbourne on April 21.
